How it Works

The program begins with a session to understand your goals and what you'd like to achieve over the month.

You'll have the chance to work on your own projects, which could range from creating a showreel to developing a game animation that could be used in a real game.

I encourage you to ask any number of questions about the games industry. Whether you're curious about the process of creating a video game animation, the skills needed to succeed in the industry, or the steps to becoming a gameplay animator, I'm here to provide the answers.

By the end of the four weeks, you'll have not only enhanced your animation skills but also gained a deeper understanding of the games industry and how you can make your mark in it.

About Me

I'm Harvey Newman, an Animation Director with a deep passion for storytelling, game creation, and teaching. Over almost two decades in the industry, I've had the chance to work at various renowned studios, contributing to the fields of animation and gaming.

In my career, I've been lucky to be involved in some notable projects, including Star Wars Battlefront, Battlefield, Horizon Zero Dawn, Total War Warhammer, Fable, Crysis, and Goldeneye. These games are important milestones in the gaming community, and I'm proud to have played a part in their creation.

But what really matters to me, beyond these professional milestones, is mentoring and education. I've set up a YouTube channel to share what I've learned with those starting in animation. It's a way for me to give back and support the next wave of animators, hopefully contributing to the industry's future growth and evolution.
